Women’s Democratic Club Meeting
3:30pm at FCDC Headquarters, 115B S. Main St., Chambersburg
Join the Women’s Democratic Club of Franklin County for its monthly meeting. Membership is open to anyone, regardless of gender, who supports Democratic values and wants to be involved. Participate in events, connect with like-minded individuals, support candidates, and play an active role in shaping the future of our community.

Saturday, September 19
Overpass Brigade
12-1pm, Overpass I-81 and PA 997 Black Gap Road
Bring your homemade signs with messages printed large enough for motorists to see easily. OR, hold a letter spelling out a group message. We will bring the letters. This is a peaceful protest held on highway overpasses. We will stand on theI-81 overpass on PA 997. Dress for the weather! Rain or Shine! You may also participate by driving under the overpass and honking your horn in support.

Save Our Squares Protest
12-1pm, Chambersburg Square
Save Our Squares is a peaceful protest held in a borough square of Franklin County each Saturday. Join us holding homemade signs warning others of the destructive activities taking place in our local, state, and federal governments. No sign? No problem! We have plenty with varied messages you may borrow. Held rain or shine!

Signs of Fascism
12-1pm, in front of Giant gas station, 921 Norland Ave, Chambersburg
Join fellow activists for “Signs of Fascism” action! You will be provided a black sign with white lettering stating one sign or symptom of Fascism. Attendees are encouraged, not required, to wear black. If needed, please bring a chair. Join our commitment to keeping our neighbors informed about the many ways the Trump regime is undermining our Constitution and acting illegally.

Read Against the Machine Book Club

OCTOBER DISCUSSION BOOK: I Am Malala, by Christina Lamb and Malala Yousafzai. Join us for fellowship and a thoughtful book discussion. From July-September, we’re collecting donations for Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. Items needed: unopened bags or cans of dry and wet food for dogs and cats, towels, blankets, sheets, pet grooming supplies (shampoo, flea combs, nail clippers, etc.), and toys.
